How it all started

In the summer of 2014, while I was peacefully sunbathing on the beach, I read an article in a magazine explaining that skin cancer is one of the cancers with the highest increase in incidence over the past 30 years. It is estimated that 1 in 6 Europeans will be affected in their lifetime. Yet, there is a simple way to dramatically reduce the risk of developing skin cancer: protecting oneself from the sun. However, when I looked around me and asked my family and friends, the consensus was unanimous: no one liked applying sunscreen.
That's when I had a realisation: I wanted to make sunscreen a product as enjoyable to use as any other cosmetic product. I gathered my courage and left my comfortable job in marketing at Chanel. The MIMITIKA adventure was born.
